Gods and Kings

Saul is the first king of Israel. In the book of 1 Samuel we read of Saul’s promising beginning and then his tragic, failing end. More than this, though, we read of the people of Israel longing for a king to judge them and to fight their battles for them. So, how can a failure like Saul have anything to do with the story of Jesus in the Bible?

Who Says?

“I don’t disagree with the Bible. I just disagree with your interpretation of it.” Ever heard this? Ever said it? It is pretty hard to combat this statement. I Forgive You. . .As Long As

When can a person be forgiven? Dan talks about some groupthink related to forgiving and being forgiven, claiming that forgiveness is NOT based on: (1) the offense being no big deal, (2) the offense being accidental, or (3) the offense not being repeated. Check out Romans 5:6-11 to see who God is willing to forgive.
